Mission Hill Family Estate

There is the most beautiful winery in Kelowna called Mission Hill Family Estate. I fell in love with it the first time we visited a few years ago. It’s such a dreamy, magical place, with vineyards surrounding the entire grounds and beautiful views of Lake Okanagan. Mission Hill is also home to The Terrace Restaurant, which is easily one of my favourite restaurants in The Okanagan Valley. They grow most of their own fruits and veggies and work closely with local farmers to source the rest. Irek and I both feel it deserves a 10/10 as the service is unparalleled and the food is to die for… There aren’t too many vegan options on the menu, but the chef was super accommodating and we couldn’t have been happier with our meals. Irek and I will probably head back to The Okanagan Valley a few more times before the season is over, and I recommend you do as well! Just keep in mind that since Mission Hill is one of the most well-known wineries in Kelowna, it …

The Okanagan Valley

Irek and I spent the last couple of days in The Okanagan Valley, which is about a 4.5 hour drive from Vancouver. It’s a gorgeous place, with more wineries than you can imagine! I fell in love with this area the first time we discovered it, 3 years ago. There is nature all around and the climate is desert-like so it gets super hot in the summer. The valley is also home to the warmest lakes in all of Canada, so it’s a great place to explore if you like to be on the water (great for supping, kayaking, boating etc). Just outside of Kelowna (which is the main city) is a smaller town called Vernon. At the top of this beautiful hill in Vernon is a resort called Sparkling Hill, our favourite in all of British Columbia. We spent Christmas there this past year with our beautiful friends from Australia, Robyn and Lewis, and they fell in love as well. The resort has 8 different saunas and steam rooms, and it’s also decked out in …

Alice Lake

Alice Lake

Irek and I did a bit of exploring around the Squamish area this weekend. On our way to Whistler we always pass by this sign that says “Alice Lake” and are always intrigued. This time we decided to stop by and have a look! Turns out it’s a beautifully secluded little area with tons of places to picnic and a lovely beach area. We noticed right away how quiet it was and the area just felt very calming. We looked on the map to see if there were any hikes to do to find some nice view points. We ended up just doing a short 2 hour hike through the forest, which was super easy, and there wasn’t too much of a view. However, if you have little ones, or are not into super tough hikes then this one would be a good option. We’ll definitely be going back and bringing a SUP. The lake was perfect for supping, especially if you’re a newbie, as it was very calm and quiet. There were at least …

Abbotsford Tulip Festival

I’ve lived in British Columbia for almost three years now and have never made it to the Abbotsford Tulip Festival. I saw some amazing photos on Instagram over the last couple of weeks and had to make my way over there! It’s actually coming to the end of the tulip season, so we made it just in time. The colours were unreal, it was truly a spectacular sight. I dream in colour and so for me, this place was super inspiring & magical. I read that on the weekends there is a lineup so long to get in that it causes huge traffic jams! So luckily we went on a weekday. The tulip festival is open only until this Sunday, May 1st. So, if you live in the area make sure to check it out ASAP. It’s only about an hour drive from Vancouver. Hope everyone is finding time to explore nature and appreciate all the beauty that surrounds us! 🙂 Cheers, Molly xx __________ “Wherever you are, and whatever you do, be in love.” …

Cascade Falls

Exploring in British Columbia is endless! We found such a beautiful spot about an hour and 15 minute drive East from our house, in Mission. It’s a stunning waterfall, called Cascade Falls, with a small suspension bridge. The waterfall is tucked right into the woods and it’s just a short 2 minute walk to the viewpoint. It’s perfect for people who want to experience a beautiful site, but don’t want to hike hours to get there! It’s honestly probably one of my favourite spots in BC, even though everywhere we go is breathtaking! But this felt very intimate and secluded, and no one was there when Irek and I arrived. So it was a lovely experience. I’m sure it’s quite busy on weekends though. I was able to take some time to meditate when we arrived while Irek took some photos.  It was a very serene moment. Hope you enjoy the pictures & if you’re in the BC area make sure to check it out! Cheers, Molly xx __________ “It is only in adventure that …

The Chief Hike

Irek and I went on the most epic hike yesterday! It’s called The Chief (Stawamus Chief), and is located in Squamish, British Columbia. The hike is super challenging as it’s a steep uphill incline the entire way until you reach the peak. So, if you plan to do it, make sure you’ve done some cardio ahead of time, and are in good physical shape. Irek and I both do high intensity cardio at least three times a week and a challenging hike like this is a great alternative to our regular routine of running/sprinting or elliptical. I’m feeling super grateful today- grateful to live in this beautiful province, and grateful to have the best adventure buddy a girl could ask for! Enjoy the weekend and go explore, it’s a beautiful world out there! Molly xx __________ “I love living. I think that’s infectious. It is something you cannot fake.” – Will Smith

Capilano Suspension Bridge

The beauty of British Columbia never ceases to amaze me! And now that it’s springtime, there are gorgeous flowers blooming everywhere! 🙂 Irek and I have been to The Capilano Suspension Bridge only once before, just this past winter with our friends from Australia. Unfortunately the day we went it poured rain, so we didn’t get the full experience. Therefore, we decided to venture back this week and check it out while the sun was shining. It did not disappoint. As you can see by the photos, the bridge is surrounded by lush forest and mountains. It’s so beautiful, and so refreshing to be close to nature. I hope everyone who is reading this is able to spend some quality time outside this week and be grateful for the beauty that surrounds us. Cheers and lots of love, Molly xx __________ “Wildness reminds us what it means to be human, what we are connected to rather than what we are separate from.” – Terry Tempest Williams

Vancouver Auto Show

Yesterday Irek and I headed downtown to check out the Auto Show. I am not necessarily the biggest car person… but Irek is, so I’m always happy to join him. 🙂 There were some beautiful cars though! I loved the Aston Martin, the Maserati, and this really cute convertible Jag. After we walked around the show for a bit, and Irek took some photos, we headed to this little vegan lunch spot in Gastown. It’s called Meet in Gastown and they specialize in “veggie comfort food”. Irek and I both opted for the veggie burgers… They were super yummy! They also have the BEST vegan spinach & artichoke dip. I hope everyone has a lovely Easter weekend filled with lots of love & food!! Cheers, Molly xx __________ “Just relax and enjoy the magnificence of life.” – Debasish Mridha

The Scandinave Spa

Yesterday my boyfriend and I headed to Whistler to experience one of only four Scandinavian spas in all of Canada. This one is nestled right in the middle of the forest with gorgeous mountain views (that’s the best part)! We spent 6 relaxing hours alternating between the outdoor pools, steam rooms and saunas. Super rejuvenating for the mind and body. If you find yourself in Whistler, The Scandinave Spa is definitely worth checking out, especially after a long day on the slopes. 🙂 Have a lovely day!
