Cabo Pool Views

Recently, Irek and I spent a few days in Mexico at Hotel Marquis Los Cabos. It’s situated in the most beautiful location, with gorgeous, sweeping views of the coast. At night time, we left our balcony door wide open so we could hear the waves crashing aggressively, and with intention against the shoreline of the Pacific. The time will soon come where I’ll fall asleep to the sound of the waves breaking every night… and that for me, will be ultimate joy. I had some truly beautiful moments at Hotel Marquis, walking along the shore all alone, not a soul in sight. There is something to be said about the energy you feel when you’re close to the ocean. It’s electric really, but only if you allow it to wash over you. I feel most vulnerable when I’m walking alone along the coast, but vulnerable in the best way possible. It’s good for the soul and more healing than any medicine you could ever be prescribed. Thank you so much to Hotel Marquis for hosting …

My Top 3 Asanas for Stress Relief

We live in a very fast-paced, somewhat chaotic world… it’s so easy to become overwhelmed, stressed out, anxious, etc. The key is recognizing when you’re in these negative states and neutralizing them as quickly and calmly as possible. Therefore, I thought it may be helpful to share with you my top 3 asanas for stress relief. If I ever feel like I can’t catch my breath,  these are my go-to postures. I spend anywhere from 5 – 15 minutes in them. Puppy Pose The first posture is called Puppy Pose. Puppy is a great stretch for the shoulders and spine. Personally, when I’m in this pose I feel an overwhelming sense of surrender to the posture; this gives me the ability to let go of any tension or stress I may be carrying. If you’re a beginner, this posture may actually feel quite intense on the shoulders, so take it slow and only go as far as feels good. Savasana (with legs up the wall) The ultimate relaxation posture a.k.a. just lay there and do nothing. Stay in Savasana a minimum of …

We’re all Connected

It’s crazy to think that most of us go through our lives feeling totally disconnected and disempowered. We believe that life is just happening to us, and all we can do is react… But the truth is, we are all connected; connected to each other, to the planet, and to the endless, infinite energies that exist within this incredible universe. Once you’re able to break through and tap into this infinite energy (divine love if you will), you’ll experience life on a much deeper level… your days will start to have meaning, and purpose. You’ll realize that you are the co-creator of your life and that you have the power. I urge you to take care this year… Meditate and do yoga as much as possible, nourish yourself with plant-based foods, take care of your physical body, and most importantly, treat others with kindness and compassion (including our animal friends). Remember that you can manifest anything you want… we all can; we’re all connected. Namaste, Molly xx Don’t forget to sign up for #TheNamasteChallenge with me! Head to …

Bali Yoga Snaps

My most inspired yoga sessions happen when I’m abroad. I believe it has a lot to do with the fact that I’m in a constant state of gratitude and appreciation. That state naturally lends itself to all aspects of life becoming brighter and more colourful. However, the Bali heat definitely challenged me. I forgot how hot and humid it was and had to force myself to push through each session. I’m grateful for the experience though, because your practice will never reach higher levels until you put yourself out there, and test your own limits. I hope you enjoy these yoga shots and perhaps they will inspire you to continue practicing and break through your own barriers, whether they be mental or physical. The Westin Resort, Bali

Last week I was invited to The Westin Resort Nusa Dua Bali to participate in the most beautiful yoga event. The event was in support of UNICEF and was focused on raising money to support children in Indonesia, enabling them access to clean drinking water. The session was led by Wellness Specialist, Jitendra Pokhriyal, who I thought did an incredible job in bringing over 200 participants to a peaceful and loving state. It was an honour to participate in the event and meet so many lovely individuals. Once the yoga event was over, Irek and I spent a couple days exploring the area and seeing what Nusa Dua has to offer. The beaches are absolutely stunning and there is a beautiful walking path right in front of The Westin that stretches quite far- it was perfect for a morning jog. We also were able to experience a couples massage at The Heavenly Spa (which was exactly what we needed after 26 hours of travel time to Bali)! The massages were truly lovely- Irek and I both left feeling super refreshed and rejuvenated. The highlight …

Caribbean Yoga Snaps

Since arriving home from Mexico a couple weeks ago, Irek and I have been in hibernation mode. It’s been very rainy and dull in BC – we’ve only had a day or two of sun, if that! Definitely not our favourite kind of weather for exploring, although I should try a bit harder to embrace the rain… without it, our province wouldn’t be as lush and beautiful as it is! That being said, I am excited to head to Bali in a couple weeks. It’s been almost two years since we first visited the island – it’s such a magical place. For now though, I thought I’d share some yoga snaps from our time in the Caribbean! Have a beautiful week, sending love!! Villa Del Palmar Cancun

I’ve been in love with Mexico for many years now… It’s the first place Irek and I ever travelled to together, so it holds a very special place in my heart. We just recently spent a week in beautiful Playa Mujeres at Villa Del Palmar Cancun for October Wellness month. Below are some highlights… The Grounds; The grounds at Villa Del Palmar were beautiful. There is nothing like tropical vegetation in my opinion- so luscious and colourful! The resort has 5 swimming pools, 4 restaurants and 6 bars- so lots of variety! There are also many activities you can participate in… from volleyball, to kayaking, to paddle boarding, to fitness and yoga classes! It’s the perfect place to bring the family as the options really are endless. The Beach; The beaches in Mexico are absolutely stunning– it’s one of the reasons why I love the country so much. Villa Del Palmar‘s beach was no exception… the white sand was so soft and gorgeous! We spent most of our time there and I managed to fit in quite a few beach yoga …

So long, Summer!

I can’t believe summer is coming to an end! It went so quickly this year, and I’m not ready for the rainy season yet! I’m trying to stay positive though and keep in mind that without the rain we wouldn’t have such a lush and beautiful province. So really, we should be grateful. 🙂 I did struggle a bit last year during the fall and winter months though, because we got so much rain; it really does affect your overall mindset (if you let it). It was the most rain we’ve experienced since Irek and I moved here 3 + years ago. So this year, we’re taking matters into our owns hands and have decided that the best option is to travel once every month or so, and head to tropical places only! This way we’ll break up the winter and it won’t feel so long. Next month we’re heading to Florida and Mexico, followed by Bali and Australia in November/December. But, in the meantime… I’m trying to get outside as much as possible and do …

Current Workout Routine

Good morning! It’s a beautiful day in VanCity today – the sun is shining and the birds are chirping! It’s a good day to be alive. Take a moment and be grateful. I thought it would be beneficial for some of you if I outline my current workout routine. Lately, I’ve been getting a lot of questions on Instagram and Snapchat regarding this so will go into detail here for you. 🙂 Currently I am working out 6 days a week with one rest day (which varies – I don’t have a set rest day, I just listen to my body and rest when it needs to). So, at the moment I do yoga every other morning for an hour and 15 minutes. I rotate between focusing on heart centre (lots of back-bending/heart openers), throat (poses that focus on stretching the throat), and roots/sacral (focusing on base of spine, so lots of hip openers). I do mostly vinyasa yoga, but also power yoga as well to strengthen my core. The days that I don’t do …
